Trae Young

The offseason hasn’t even officially started but Trae Young has already been linked to Los Angeles Lakers. Of course, there is a lot that would need to happen before this even becomes a remote possibility during the summer. For one, the Atlanta Hawks would have to be willing to trade Young. And despite some recent speculation, that’s not a certainty heading into the offseason.

But if Young does become available this offseason, the Lakers would be one of many teams interested. Despite the narrative that’s surrounded him recently in Atlanta, Young is one of the most electrifying offensive point guards in the NBA right now. And he’s exactly the type of star player that the Lakers could be looking for this offseason.

He’s young, dynamic, and still improving as a player. Although, even if the Lakers were willing to put all their trade chips on the table, there’s no guarantee that they would have enough to get a deal for Young done. Still, it’s something to keep an eye on heading into the summer.
