Dallas Mavericks

I do have some hesitation that the Dallas Mavericks would be open to this move but it’s one that the San Antonio Spurs should at least explore. The Mavs would trade the rights to the 10th overall pick in the NBA Draft and Davis Bertans to the Spurs in exchange for Zach Collins, Devonte’ Graham, and a future first-round pick (via Atlanta). The only reason why I believe the Mavs would agree to make this deal is because of their future first-round pick.

I don’t think that Collins and Graham alone are worthy of the No. 10 pick in this year’s NBA Draft but they would certainly help the Mavs. If nothing else, Collins and Graham would offer a level of depth that the Mavs lacked after they made the move for Kyrie Irving at the NBA Trade Deadline.

They are quality players that should fit seamlessly next to Luka Doncic and, hopefully, Kyrie. The Spurs would part ways with two good trade pieces but they would effectively land the opportunity to get the point guard of their future without parting ways with any of their core pieces.
