Could the Blazers poach Karl-Anthony Towns?

Karl-Anthony Towns is another player that has found his name in the rumor mill recently and if there’s at least a small chance that he could be traded this offseason, the Portland Trail Blazers are one o the teams that should be willing to throw everything at the Minnesota Timberwolves for his services.

Listen, KAT has his critics. He’s far from a perfect player and does leave a lot to be desired on the defensive end of the floor. He’s also come up small in big games from time to time. But if there’s one thing that you absolutely can’t knock on him, it’s his talent. KAT is one of the most talented players that has ever played the center position. And that’s something the Blazers must be willing to bet on.

In this deal, Portland would give up Anfernee Simons, Jusuf Nurkic, the No. 3 and 23 overall picks in this year’s NBA Draft, and a future first-round draft pick (2026) in exchange for KAT. This move would create a Lillard-KAT duo in Portland while also keeping Shaedon Sharpe as a potential third budding star.

This is an offer that the Wolves would seriously need to consider if they are open to trading KAT this offseason.
