Zion Williamson to the Houston Rockets
I know one of the goals of trading Zion Williamson this offseason or ahead of the NBA Draft lies in the ability of the New Orleans Pelicans to draft SCoot Henderson, but perhaps they get to a point where they must trade Zion after everything has been reported. And if that does end up being the case, perhaps they would be open to making a deal with the Rockets for the No. 4 pick or Amen Thompson, another one of the highly-touted prospects in this year’s NBA Draft class.
The Rockets are desperate to make a splash this offseason and there is reason to believe that they’d be interested in Zion. Mostly because they’ve already been linked to him. If the Rockets are willing to throw in one of their premier young players, this automatically becomes a very real possibility.
The question is, would the Rockets be open to a potential deal that includes Alperen Sengun and Kevin Porter Jr. That’s the type of deal that it will likely take, without the guarantee of Scoot, to pry Zion out of New Orleans. Would they consider it for the potential that Zion comes with?
