Washington Wizards
As the Washington Wizards try to finalize a trade for Bradley Beal, this is a team that, without question, is headed toward a rebuild. However, they don’t have to start at ground zero if they don’t want to. If they do, it would be in the best interest of the team to swing a deal for a talented young player with a high ceiling. That player can be Jordan Poole.
For all his limitations on the defensive end that preclude him from being considered a complete star in the public eye, Poole is through and through one of the most offensively talented you players. And if there’s a chance that the Wizards can let him away from the Warriors at a cheap price, it’s absolutely something they should explore.
The Wizards have a plethora of contributors that they could be looking to unload after moving Beal. Perhaps the Wizards could send a couple of those pieces, along with a future pick, for Poole? If that’s the price for Poole, and there’s no guarantee that it would be, it’s something the Wizards would at least have to have a conversation about.
If they believe he would be a good building block and the price is workable, I wouldn’t completely discount it.
