Philadelphia 76ers
Who knows how the next few weeks are going to turn out for the Philadelphia 76ers? However, what we do know is that they’re going to be seeking some adjustments to their roster. At this point, they have to. The good news is that it appears, for now, that Harden is likely to re-sign with the team. Whether they were willing to admit it or not, losing Harden this offseason would’ve been a colossal loss.
That said, the Sixers still have their work cut out for them heading into the summer. They’ll be looking to make a big move and perhaps one potential option that could emerge is Paul George.
Here’s what the Sixers could likely do: They could probably move Tobias Harris to a third team and hopefully get a future first-round pick in exchange while sending that to the Clippers. They could also include Tyrese Maxey, who is a young budding star. I’m not sure if two first-round picks and Maxey would be enough compensation for the Clippers to pull the trigger. If it is and the Sixers could create a big three of Embiid, Harden, and PG, it’d be up there with the best trios in the NBA.
