Zach LaVine and/or Karl-Anthony Towns will be traded
While all the trade noise heading into the start of free agency centers around Damian Lillard and what may or may not happen, I believe there’s a chance that some other surprise star could be moved. It’s not fair to say that without making a prediction. Therefore, I will. Specifically, I predict that Zach LaVine or Karl-Anthony Towns will be traded at some point during free agency. And it will be, for the most part, a surprise.
There is reason to believe that either one of them could be traded over the course of the next couple of weeks. LaVine is a player that the Chicago Bulls have quietly gauged his trade value on the open market and there was this one rumor that suggested KAT could be traded this offseason. And if one does get moved, it would make a huge difference heading into next season.
Even though their respective trade values are not at an all-time high, both LaVine and Towns are still really good players at this point in their careers. They’re still in the prime of their careers and in the right situation, there’s an argument to be made that they could even take another step forward.
