1. Dillon Brooks, Memphis Grizzlies (unrestricted)

If there’s one “marquee” free agent that I feel strongly about moving on, it’s Dillon Brooks. There’s no question that the 27-year-old wing is coming off a down season, but he’s just one year removed from averaging 18 points per game on 43 percent shooting from the field. He’s also one of the better wing defenders in the NBA at the moment. If he lands in the right situation, it wouldn’t be all that surprising for him to have a strong bounce-back season in 2023-24.

It almost definitely won’t be in Memphis, though. It’s been widely reported that the Grizzlies are not going to offer Brooks an extension and that they’ll let him walk in free agency. Whether that ended up being the right move remains to be seen, but it’s almost a foregone conclusion that Brooks will be on another team next season.

There’s still a one percent chance that the Grizzlies could change their stance on bringing Brooks back, especially if his market is much less populated than originally realized. Brooks will almost definitely be on a new team this offseason.
