NBA Rumors: 8 Best Free Agents still available after first wave of Free Agency
1. Miles Bridges, restricted
If you want to have a debate about whether Miles Bridges should be even eligible to play in the NBA again, that’s fair. But NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has made his decision and has cleared the way for Bridges to make his return to the Association this season. Originally struck down with a 30-game suspension, Bridges now only needs to sit out 10 regular season games before he’s eligible to return to the floor.
He’s a restricted free agent and at this point, it would be shocking if he didn’t get another shot in the league. The Charlotte Hornets control his rights but there’s a chance they could elect to move on altogether if he inks an offer sheet with another team. From a talent standpoint, signing Bridges could be an attractive possibility for many teams that need help in the frontcourt.
During his last full season in the league (2021-22), Bridges averaged 20 points, seven rebounds, and four assists per game on 49 percent shooting from the field. As he looks to fix his image around the league, it’s only a matter of time before Bridges finds a home again.
