Best moves made by the Chicago Bulls this offseason

The Chicago Bulls didn’t make many huge moves this offseason and even the few moves that they did make, it was difficult to pinpoint any of them as a “best” move. One of my biggest gripes about the Bulls’ offseason was the fact that they didn’t choose a path forward. They kind of decided to run it back with their current roster.

For a team that didn’t qualify for the postseason, I don’t get the plan. Nevertheless, for the sake of this exercise, I suppose I do have to try to make lemonade out of lemons.

Re-signing Coby White

While I don’t love the re-signing of Coby White, considering it falls in line with running back the same team from last year, I suppose that it did allow the Bulls to retain an asset. If nothing else, that’s what the Bulls are going to need if they do end up blowing up the roster. And at just 23 years old, I suppose it would’ve been quite foolish for the Bulls to simply “give up” on White as a prospect.

Maybe this is a move that ends up working out for the Bulls in the long run. And with Ball still out due to injury, White could emerge as a necessity.
