Biggest offseason moves: Re-signing Reggie Jackson, drafting Julian Strawther and Hunter Tyson

The defending champion Denver Nuggets didn’t have much to accomplish this summer. Coming off their first championship in franchise history, the Nuggets had to ability to sit back and enjoy the ride that they’ve been on for the past couple of seasons. And with Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., and Aaron Gordon all locked up, there weren’t a ton of priorities for this team heading into the summer.

There really wasn’t much that the Nuggets could do this offseason. Their core is still in place and with little financial flexibility, it was likely that the team was going to lose a rotation piece or two. Losing Bruce Brown and Jeff Green will certainly hurt the team’s depth but they should be able to survive both of those losses.

Overall, it hasn’t been that surprising of an offseason for the Nuggets. This is a team that was always going to roll the dice on running it back with this roster as they attempt to repeat as champions in 2024.
