Miami Heat

At the moment, the Miami Heat seems to have all its eggs in the Damian Lillard basket. However, things don’t seem to be trending in the right direction for the Heat. Even though Lillard has made it known that he wants to be traded to the Heat, there has been practically no traction on a possible Lillard-to-Heat trade. Considering there are only six weeks before training camps begin, it’s safe to say that the Heat isn’t in a good place.

If Miami enters the season with their current roster, it’s not outlandish to say that they’ve gotten worse. Losing two starters will hurt. And even with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo still on the roster, the Heat still lacks that premier star that will get them over the top in the postseason – they even lacked it this past season when they did make an unlikely run to the NBA Finals.

The Heat needs a star. And if not Lillard, could James Harden fill that void? Harden is a great playmaker and an excellent scorer – and those are two attributes the Heat need their star to possess. It may not be ideal, but Harden on the Heat makes sense.
