Best moves LA Clippers made this offseason

The LA Clippers are one of the most unpredictable teams in the NBA. On paper, they should be mentioned amongst the championship contenders in the rest of the NBA. However, because of health and overall inconsistencies, the Clippers are still considered a dark horse at best. That said, there was work to be done this offseason.

Not to go all-in for James Harden

Looking back, with everything that we know now, it was a great decision for the LA Clippers to not go all-in on James Harden when it was initially reported that he wanted to be traded to them. Now, there’s a good chance that they’re going to be able to pry Harden away from the Philadelphia 76ers for very cheap.

Acquired KJ Martin

As part of a five-team deal, the Clippers acquired Kenyon Martin Jr., or KJ Martin, from the Houston Rockets in exchange for two second-round picks. This could end up being a huge move for the Clippers. Martin may not be a common name around the league, but he’s an interesting and talented young player.

Martin, 22, averaged 13 points and six rebounds on 57 percent shooting from the field last season with the Houston Rockets. At 6-foot-7 and great athleticism, Marting gives the Clippers another versatile wing that seemingly is going to play a big part in their future.
