And, finally, we have the Los Angeles Lakers. Because why wouldn’t they be on this list? During the offseason of 2025, both LeBron James’ and D’Angelo Russell’s contracts will expire. That will give the Lakers the opportunity to spend big money on a prized free agent such as Giannis Antetokounmpo. The addition of Giannis to the Lakers would help create arguably the most dominating frontcourt in the league with Anthony Davis.

At that point, LeBron is likely strongly thinking about retirement, or perhaps even concluding his career with another team. Maybe he wants to finish his career in Cleveland? That could open up the door for the Lakers to think about the next superstar who is going to lead the Lakers to more championships.

Could that be Giannis? It shouldn’t be that surprising. There’s a good chance that Giannis will be the biggest name and face in the NBA in 2025.
