Washington Wizards

It shouldn’t come as a big surprise to see the Washington Wizards on this list. This is a team that made the decision to pivot away from trying to build around Bradley Beal. Whether it was their decision or his, the bottom line is that the Wizards likely have a roster that will compete to finish with one of the worst records in the league. Washington has young talent but will need a few years to see them truly flourish together.

The Wizards did re-sign Kyle Kuzma and acquired Jordan Poole (from the Golden State Warriors), but there’s no question that this team is essentially in tank mode for now. They may never admit it but the Wizards will be aiming to finish with one of the three-worst records in the league in an attempt to land an elite, potential franchise-changing talent in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Whether or not it all comes to fruition for the Wizards remains to be seen, but Washington is very much in the early stages of a complete rebuild of the roster.
