15. Minnesota Timberwolves

There’s an argument to make that the Minnesota Timberwolves were the team in the postseason last year that gave the Denver Nuggets the biggest problems. And assuming that is so, that means the Wolves aren’t that far off from being a dangerous dark horse in the Western Conference. A big reason why is the continued emergence of Anthony Edwards. Coming off an excellent showing with Team USA in the FIBA World Cup, Edwards has the look of a budding superstar.

Edwards is ready to take off and the Wolves need to find the right mix of supporting cast players that will put him in the best position to help the franchise take another step forward. Heading into this season, that means figuring out if the Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert frontcourt can work on a consistent basis moving forward.

The Wolves may be close but there’s no question that there is still plenty of work that the front office has to put in to find the right mix of players that will work opposite of Edwards. Th question is, can this franchise crack the code?
