Tyler Herro’s name was thrown into many different trade proposals in the whole Damian Lillard sweepstakes and the Trail Blazers made it clear they had no desire to trade for the young guard. In short, it was a difficult summer for Herro and his fans. Especially on social media when the narrative surrounding him took an outrageous turn for the worst.

This as well as the Heat’s Cinderella run to the NBA Finals with Herro sitting on the bench have fans questioning his actual value around the league. His talent and value to a team should not be neglected, though.

Herro has averaged 20 points per game in back-to-back seasons, with a Sixth Man of the Year season in 2022. He is a dynamic offensive player who on any given night can single-handedly win a game offensively with his heat-check ability and limitless confidence.

If he even evolves into a net-neutral player on the defensive end, the entire narrative surrounding him will completely change.
