Milwaukee Bucks
Trade candidate: Pat Connaughton
The Milwaukee Bucks invested heavily into this current core of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and newly acquired guard, Damian Lillard. This does not leave them with many options for potential trade candidates.
However, Connaughton has been there long enough and has shown an ability to provide some shooting in a supporting role. His contract is very tradable at around $9 million per year which can help them potentially upgrade to that position. If the Bucks do end up making a trade this season, Connaughton will almost definitely be involved.
Minnesota Timberwolves
Trade candidate: Karl-Anthony Towns
New Minnesota Timberwolves general manager, Tim Connelly, made a big swing last offseason by adding Rudy Gobert to a core of Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns. To many, the trade was puzzling as Towns seemed to be the team’s center of the future and beyond after signing a supermax extension.
If things do not work out with this core they currently have constructed, Connelly might have to trade Towns. He will have the most value outside of Edwards currently on the team and might be the one that has to go as a result of a potentially regretful trade.
