Milwaukee Bucks
Breakout candidate: MarJon Beauchamp
After making the big move for Damian Lillard, there is no tiptoeing around the obvious – the Milwaukee Bucks are championship or bust this season. After losing some of their depth in the move for Lillard, it will be essential for a player like MarJon Beauchamp to step up this season. With the talent that comes with him, I’d pinpoint Beauchamp being a breakout candidate for the Bucks this year.
Beauchamp only appeared in 52 games during his rookie season (averaging five points on 40 percent shooting from the field) but he’s entering the year as the backup small forward and there’s a chance he ends up playing a vital role for the Bucks as they look to win their second NBA Championship.
There’s an expectation that Milwaukee will try to make a move to add depth before the NBA Trade Deadline but if they don’t, Beauchamp could end up playing some big minutes for this team heading into the postseason.
