Bradley Beal, Phoenix Suns
For the past seven seasons, Bradley Beal has been viewed as a really good player but not a winning one. Most of that, however, is due to the fact that the Washington Wizards failed to surround him with a championship-worthy supporting cast. Or at least that has been the excuse. That will no longer be the case in Phoenix. With the Suns, if Beal can fall into a role, his ability to be a winning player is going to once again come into question.
The Suns are so talented that Beal doesn’t have to be the No. 1 or No. 2 option. He just needs to fit in next to Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. This is unlikely any other situation Beal has found himself in. And for a player who is used to being the lead man, this could take some getting used to.
However, the next few years can completely change the legacy of Beal. If he can become a winner, the perception of Beal and his career is forever altered. Beal embracing a supporting role toward the end of his career and winning a championship or two completely changes the way he’s viewed when he retires.
