25. San Antonio Spurs

It’s hard to predict what exactly the San Antonio Spurs are going to be this season but the sky is the limit thanks to Victor Wembanyama. The Spurs are going to go as far as the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft will be able to take him. And if the pre-season is any indication, the Spurs can be really, really good this season. Wemby has the look of a player who’s going to be a star as soon as he takes the floor for his first regular-season game. And he’s only going to get better with every bit of experience that he gains.

If the Spurs can remain healthy, and specifically Wemby, San Antonio can surprise a few people in the Western Conference. I’m not sure if they have enough talent on their roster to compete for a spot in the Play-in Tournament but this is a team that will at the very least be in the conversation.

I’m as excited as anyone to see how Wemby looks during his rookie season. But, to be fair, there shouldn’t be a ton of expectations placed on the Spurs. Let’s sit back and see how this season unfolds.
