Kevin Durant as a supporting star is downright unfair

Heading into the season, it was no surprise that the Phoenix Suns were going to be one of the most talented offensive teams in the NBA. However, it’s pretty insane to see Kevin Durant being a supporting star for Devin Booker for the Suns. We saw it a bit in spurts last season, but it’s now real. Booker might be the best offensive player at this point in their respective careers and KD as a No. 2 option is pretty unfair.

In what ended up being a back-and-forth affair, the Suns stormed back in the fourth quarter to beat the Golden State Warriors to close opening night. Booker finished with 32 points as KD added a cool 18 on a rough shooting night. Mind you, the Suns managed to pull this off with Bradley Beal being sidelined for the opener.

If nothing else, opening night reminded us just how unfair the Suns offense can be this season. And the fact that by the end of the season, KD could very well be cemented as the second-best player on the Suns. Absolutely insane.
