The projected No. 1 overall pick

At this point last year, there was a clear favorite to be drafted with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. But there is no Victor Wembanyama in the. 2024 NBA Draft class. The natural expectation is that there’s going to be a good amount of movement atop the 2024 draft rankings between now and the actual draft date. For now, though, there is an early favorite atop the draft class – Ron Holland.

Holland is a 6-foot-8 wing who is currently playing with the G League Ignite this season. Considered a prospect with a high two-way ceiling, Holland has an impressive set of natural skills that open the door for him to blossom into a star in the NBA. If Holland can prove that he can be a consistent 3-point shooter, there’s nothing standing in the way of him being a top 3 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

A lot can change between now and the 2024 NBA Draft but it’s pretty safe to say that Holland is going to be one of the household names of this year’s draft class. And there’s a very good chance that he does end up being the No. 1 pick.
