JaVale McGee, Sacramento Kings

Another possible option that could emerge for the LA Clippers is JaVale McGee. He’s currently with the Sacramento Kings but isn’t getting much run with the team so far. He’s only appeared in six games for the Kings, averaging eight points and three rebounds on 64 percent shooting from the field.

McGee has had a long career in the NBA and has championship experience (dating back to his time with the Golden State Warriors) and while he’s toward the latter portion of his career, he could play a small role for the Clippers. He may not be the first option for the Clippers but he could be a cheap option if the Kings feel they have enough at the center position.

It remains to be seen what the trade market will be for a backup big at the moment for the Clippers, but there’s no question that they’re going to explore their options in an attempt to solidify their frontcourt after the injury of Mason Plumlee.
