The Indiana Pacers are one of the three best teams in the East
On paper, the Indiana Pacers may not seem like one of the best teams in the league. But through the first few games of the season, they’ve certainly played that way. Indiana has the best offensive rating in the league and seemingly puts on a show on that end of the floor every night.
Through the first nine games of the season, the Pacers are 9-3 and are sitting in the top 3 of the Eastern Conference. Based on the standings, Indiana appears to be in the second tier of the conference. The question is, is this start to the season just a hot start, or is this foreshadowing of big things coming for the franchise?
I think the Pacers have taken a step forward in the East. They’re clearly one of the most talented young teams in the league. At the same time, I don’t think they’ve made the jump to contention quite yet. While I don’t believe the Pacers are one of the best teams in the East, I do think their future is bright.
