New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have practiced patience when it comes to pursuing another star next to Jalen Brunson and RJ Barrett. However, after an uneven start to the season, perhaps it may be time for the Knicks to put a stop to that patience. If Zach LaVine does become available, he would theoretically make sense for New York.
They have a natural need at the shooting guard position and could very well benefit from another offensive-minded player that could take some of the backcourt pressure off of Brunson. He would also add some much-needed offensive punch on the wing. The question is, would the Knicks be willing to go all-in for a non-superstar like LaVine?
It was reported just before the start of the season that the Knicks inquired about LaVine. But it was also reported that there might’ve been some hesitance from LaVine’s side to willingly embrace a trade to New York. Again, all of that transpired during the offseason and there’s no certainty what’s true and what isn’t. However, LaVine on the Knicks does make sense.
With how many assets New York has at their disposal, they can’t completely be counted out as a possible landing spot.
