Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors

Speaking about stars that have begun to see a concerning downtick in production, Pascal Siakam is another player that you can throw on that list. Generally speaking, when a player is in a contract year, you generally see the best of them. However, the opposite seems to be the case for Siakam so far this season. As the Toronto Raptors continue to struggle with their own identity as a team, the decision on Siakam’s future is one of the biggest that remains at the center of their to-do list.

At this point, with the way Siakam is struggling to start the season, it may be in the best interest of both sides to just move on from each other. Specifically for Siakam, a fresh start in a new place may be exactly what he needs. The Raptors are in the midst of an awkward retooling and this is not the best position for Siakam to be in if he’s looking to continue to blossom as a superstar.

I’d be shocked if Siakam isn’t on a new team next season and I’d be even more surprised if he wasn’t thriving in his new landing spot. He just needs to rejuvenate his career at this point.
