28. Minnesota Timberwolves - Devin Carter, G, Providence
The Minnesota Timberwolves have consistently been one of the best teams in the Western Conference this season. Quite frankly, I'm not sure there are many that expected the Wolves to make this level of jump this quickly. Nevertheless, you have to credit what this front office has been able to do in surrounding Anthony Edwards with sufficient talent to compete with how deep the West is at the moment.
Despite their regular-season success, the true test for the Wolves will come in the playoffs. If the Wolves want to be considered a legit contender in the West, they'll have to prove it when it matters most. If they do falter in the playoffs, they could look to add another complementary piece via their late first-round pick in the NBA Draft.
One potential target that could arise for the Wolves is Providence guard Devin Carter. Adding some depth in the backcourt, Carter, one of the most productive offensive guards in college basketball this season, could give the Wolves another contributor to add to their depth.
