NBA: Power ranking the 30 projected starting power forwards on each team
3. Kevin Durant, Phoenix Suns
As he gets closer to the end of his career, I'd imagine we're going to see more and more of Kevin Durant in the power forward position. And certainly with the Phoenix Suns as they have some serious depth issues in the frontcourt. But shifting KD to the power-forward position does make sense as he ages. At this position, KD is going to be more and more of a matchup problem on the offensive end of the floor. Even though KD is not considered an elite player on the defensive end of the floor, he can hold his own as the league continues to shift more and more away from the traditional big man.
Offensively, there are still not many players more talented than KD. When he's healthy and playing at the peak of his game, KD can be one of the most lethal offensive players in the league. How much longer he has playing at this level, who knows. For now, he has to be in the conversation for one of the best players at his position still.
As he prepares for this season, KD is looking to win another title in Phoenix. However, that could prove to be difficult with how much the rest of the league has evolved.
