NBA Draft Projection: Top-2

If you like offense and big men, you’ll definitely love watching Jahili Okafor do his thing. Although, he does play for Duke.

Okafor is probably the most offensively polished big man that we’ve seen in a very long time in college. When Duke needs a score, Okafor can get a bucket at will. He has post moves that can make NBA bigs jealous, as well as the passing vision to make it almost impossible to consistently double him. Okafor is going to make any NBA team proud, wherever he gets drafted.

His defense, on the other hand, is still a work in progress. But his offense is so good that it often allows people to forget his shortcomings on the other end of the floor. Okafor is averaging 18 points and nine rebounds per game on nearly 67 percent shooting from the field this season.

Matchup: Interestingly, Utah’s starting center Jakob Poeltl, who stands at 7-0, should be a nice Sweet 16 test for Okafor. The Duke freshman hasn’t had to go against overwhelming size much this season, but going against another center that possess said size should give us a good indication on what to expect from Okafor at the next level, when almost every team has size.
