Projection: Top-12
I still don’t know exactly how Myles Turner didn’t start for Texas last season, but that has more to do with Rick Barnes than it has to do with Turner. Still, I suppose that has to be a concern. It should also be noted, that this wasn’t even a stacked Texas team.
Nevertheless, despite his length, frame and great shot blocking ability, Turner is still a very raw NBA prospect. He isn’t great on the offensive end, nor is he overly athletic.
In fairness, Turner has shown flashes of life in a consistent jumper and some decent post moves. If Turner can continue to develop his offensive game, he can transform into a legit NBA big at the next level.
The NBA just isn’t notorious for developing young players. While it happens, it often leaves talented and potentially-filled players on the outside looking in.
