7. Denver Nuggets: Kristaps Porzingis, Sevilla
Kristaps Porzingis is by far the most risky prospect this draft has to offer. When asked about whether he could handle the toughness of the next level, Porzingis said, “I don’t want people to label me as soft because I’m not… I’m not the stereotype, whatever people think about Europeans.”
8. Detroit Pistons: Mario Hezonja, Barcelona
With the Pistons in need of production at the small forward position, grabbing Mario Hezonja should be a no-brainer. Hezonja has a unique blend of toughness, athleticism and shooting, all things coach Stan Van Gundy could use in his starting lineup.
9. Charlotte Hornets: Devin Booker, Kentucky
If there’s one team that could use more three point production, it’s the Hornets. Last season they ranked dead last in three point field goal percentage, 26th in three pointers made and 24th in three pointers attempted. This is exactly why I have them drafting a sharpshooter like Devin Booker.
