Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks

For some odd reason, it feels like we haven’t seen Carmelo Anthony on a basketball court in a really long time. Melo only missed the second half of the season last year – he even played in the all-star game. But considering that the Knicks were the worst team in the NBA last year, you may have not even watched one Knicks game at all last season.

With almost a brand new roster, which now has a healthy Carmelo, the Knicks should be much better this season. In fairness, could they be any worse?

Nevertheless, if the Knicks are going to have any impact at all this season, they’re going to need Melo to carry them. Yes, the additions of Arron Afflalo, Kyle O’Quinn, Kristaps Porzingis and Robin Lopez will certainly help, I’m more interested to see if Melo could still carry a team.

If he can, we’re going to see it this season.
