Damian Lillard
Team: Portland Trail Blazers
Overrated Since: His playoff series against the Houston Rockets
2014-15 stats: 21.0 points, 6.2 assists
For all the great things that Damian Lillard has accomplished thus far in his short career, he was helped by LaMarcus Aldridge, Nicolas Batum, Wes Matthews and Robin Lopez. With those players all gone, it’s going to be really interesting to see if Lillard can be as successful.
Of course, it’s impossible for him to achieve the same type of team success. I don’t think anyone should hold him to that. Individually, it’ll be telling to see if he can continue to shoot at a 50 percent clip from two-point range and 34 percent from three-point range.

If he can, maybe we can remove him off this dubious list. However, until then, I’m going to stick with my gut, which tells me that Lillard is a bit overrated.
Most young players prove that they can hang alone before gaining the reinforcements – Lillard was the complete opposite. He had the help first, now we’re going to see if his consistency can stick will him having the entire team’s pressure on his shoulders.
