The Miami Heat’s Starting Five
During the preseason, the Heat’s long talked about starting five of Goran Dragic, Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng, Chris Bosh and Hassan Whiteside didn’t look particularly great. In fact, there was definite concern. Dragic and Wade didn’t look great while on the court at the same time and Deng looked done.

As well as the Heat’s second unit looked, mostly Gerald Green and Josh McRoberts, Miami’s starting five struggled enough that it even brought some concern before they have even yet suited up for an official game.
The Heat will get tested early, too. After opening the season at home against the Charlotte Hornets, they face LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. If nothing else, we should find out a lot about this team pretty quickly.
And, right now, I don’t think anyone has a strong grasp on what this team is, or what it could be in four months.
