2. Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers

Stats: 29.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 35.3 PER

Quietly, Blake Griffin has officially become the best player on the Los Angeles Clippers. He’s the reason why the Clippers have gotten off to a fast start this season, shooting at 62 percent clip. Interestingly, he’s on pace to have his best season – yet – as a Clipper while playing less minutes than he has in each of the last two years.

With a three-game stretch against the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies beginning this week, we’ll find out a lot more about Griffin and this early MVP campaign that he’s been showcasing thus far.

Are the Clippers for real? Because if Griffin is going to be a legitimate MVP candidate this season, they’re going to have to be a top-3 team in the Western Conference.
