Jason Thompson

Now we get to the slam dunks – the guys that will for sure be on a team sooner rather than later. Jason Thompson happens to be one of those guys.

After being traded to the Golden State Warriors last summer, Thompson was waived recently. He wasn’t the guy, obviously, that the Warriors could depend on. And maybe it was fit thing. Maybe something more. Either way, Thompson is on the open market again.

The last time we saw Thompson get reasonable minutes, he was averaging six points and seven rebounds for the Sacramento Kings. He’s a solid big that will be a presence. He’s not going to get big numbers or be much of a difference-maker when he’s on the court, but he’s proven that he can be a solid NBA player. He will get another chance, probably sooner rather than later.

Hopefully he’ll get a chance to prove his worth this time.
