Is Miami For Real?
Even before the season started, there was hype surrounding the potential of this Miami Heat team. However, because of the loss of Chris Bosh, some of that has tempered down. Still, with the emergence of Josh Richardson and addition of Joe Johnson, the Heat still managed to finish as the 3-seed in the East.
Is that fool’s gold, however? Miami finished the regular season tied (record-wise) with the Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics and Charlotte Hornets, their first round opponent. They’re not playing your traditional 6-seed in the first round.
However, if the Heat do make it out of the first round, they’re still going to be a dangerous team and a tough out. Even without Bosh, who probably won’t play again this season.
