NBA Playoff Power Rankings: Is It Smart To Sleep On The Oklahoma City Thunder?
10. Toronto Raptors (0-1)
Here are a few facts:
- Toronto is 2-5 at home in their last three playoff appearances.
- They haven’t won an opening game in the playoffs since 2001
- The Raptors have lost seven-straight playoff games after Game 1
- Toronto shot 38% from the field in Game 1
- Toronto shot 21 percent from three-point % in Game 1
- DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry shot a combined 25% from the field and missed all 10 of their three-point attempts in Game 1.
Even if it was the perfect storm for the Pacers in Game 1, the Raptors can’t feel good about themselves right now. Sure, the Raptors won three of their four regular season games against the Pacers this season, but this is the playoffs. And the regular season doesn’t matter right now.
After a franchise-record regular season, the Raptors are three losses away from heading into the offseason as a disappointment – again. It’s only one game. Toronto still has time to salvage their season. The onus is on DeRozan and Lowry, though.
