Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors

If DeMar DeRozan decides to skip town for greener pastures in Los Angeles, or somewhere else, this summer, I wouldn’t put it past the Toronto Raptors to try and somewhat reshape the future of this franchise. If Toronto isn’t winning the East WITH both DeRozan and Lowry, they certainly won’t be doing so with only one of them.

With that said, I’m not even sure what his market would look like this summer. Assuming that Lowry continues to struggle in the playoffs, the Raptors could have a hard time moving him for what they believe he’s worth.

Sure, there will be takers. They just won’t be willing to match Toronto’s expected asking price. My guess is that they would ask for a couple future first-round picks and a young player – could be more or less. Unless there’s a team out there that feels they’re a Kyle Lowry away, that would be a difficult move to make for any team.

Furthermore, especially after his last two playoff performances, I don’t think any team in the league is under the belief that Lowry is a No. 1 guy in the NBA. He’s a good third option on any team, but should never be your best player. If he is, you won’t be winning much when it matters most.
