DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings

It’s been rumored for the last two seasons, but this could finally be the year that the Sacramento Kings trade DeMarcus Cousins. And now probably makes the most sense. After firing George Karl, the Kings have an opportunity to lay a new foundation.

However, before that, they must make a decision on Boogie. Is he the guy that Sacramento wants to build around? If so, that kind of changes some things. For one, it limits who you can and cannot hire as the next head coach. Do the Kings want to go down that road again?

My guess is no.

Which means, the Kings would be absolutely insane not to, at the very least, test Boogie’s value on the open trade market. They have to.

Sacramento will get a great haul for Cousins. They should strike while the iron is hot. In this case, Boogie’s trade value. The Kings tried. It just didn’t work. That’s OK.
