Which will be more weird/surreal this season: Wade in a Bulls uniform or Durant in a Dubs uniform?

McFee: Wade in the Windy City. I’m going to play the seniority card. Yeah, KD in the Bay is going to take some getting used to, but he and Russell Westbrook shared the spotlight. Wade leaving Miami is like when Brett Favre played for the Vikings. It just feels wrong. I get why it happened for both sides, but it doesn’t sit well with me as a big proponent of loyalty in sports.

Fielder: I’m going D Wade here. I mean, yea, Durant leaving Oklahoma City was certainly a shock, but I think most people (myself included) felt that a departure was at least within the realm of possibility. I NEVER thought Wade would finish his career in another city other than Miami. I mean, Wade and Miami have become synonymous with one another. He’s the best player in franchise history (sorry ‘Zo) and I’m not sure if seeing him in a Bulls uniform will ever feel quite right.

More from NBA News

Murray: Hands down Wade rocking a Bulls jersey. Once I heard that there was a chance Durant could land in the Bay Area, I knew he was gone. It was just too good of an opportunity to turn down, for what? Golden State made the most sense. Wade heading home to Chicago will take awhile to adjust. From reports, his divorce from the Miami was an ugly once over money and maybe more from what we know.

Stone: Durant in a Warriors uniform. Not that Wade leaving wasn’t shocking, but for me Durant’s free agency seemed so likely that he would re-sign for a year with OKC then leave/re-sign again with Westbrook’s plan more defined. Come to find out he then runs off and joins the team that beat him? Stunned.

Gonzalez: Durant in a Dubs jersey. Wade is going to his home city, so it’s a little less weird. I also thought KD was always to soft-spoken and humble to leave. He never struck as the leave for a big city or make a big move type of guy, and I was wrong.

Blochlinger: Durant will definitely be more surreal in a Warriors uniform than Wade in a Bulls uniform. Durant joining the Warriors makes for arguably the most talented team in the history of the NBA. The Bulls should be pretty good, but I don’t see them being anywhere near what the Durant-Curry combo might be.

I am very disappointed that Durant chose to sign with the Warriors after losing to them in the Western Conference Finals after getting out to a 3-1 lead. A very weak, but very important move for the future of the NBA.

Saenz: Even though I’m a Heat apologist and that I’ll admit that Dwyane Wade‘s departure was quite shocking, I still can’t come to the realization that Kevin Durant will be joining the Golden State Warriors, who were arguably already the best team in the NBA when healthy.
