Honorable Mention: Golden State Warriors

Why It Doesn’t Makes Sense: How could you go wrong with signing with the Golden State Warriors? Spoiler alert: you can’t. Biggest reason why I’d bet against it coming to fruition is because Ray Allen clearly isn’t making winning another championship a priority. At least not with the way he’s talking. Another big issue is that there wouldn’t be a big role for Allen in Golden State.

Even though the Warriors don’t have a clear backup two-guard, the likelihood is that the trio of Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and Shaun Livingston – and at times Kevin Durant – would command most of the minutes in the backcourt.

Plus, are we sure Allen will be able to play 82 games at the pace that the Warriors like to play? Ehhh, even though Allen has always been one of the best athletes in the NBA, we have to remember that he’s 41 years old.

Why It Makes Sense: It’s the Warriors. Ray Allen would have one more shot at winning another championship.
