What This Means For New Orleans:

Well for New Orleans, this means one of the best on paper frontcourts in recent memory will reside in the Smoothie King Center.

Besides Sampson and Olajuwon, and Oakley and Ewing, who’s better in the last 30 years? We are talking about two prolific scorers; Cousins who is dominant down low and Davis who is elite in the high post.

Two tenacious rebounders, then that conjoined with Davis’ elite defense.

This also means that the New Orleans Pelicans will also undoubtedly be pushing for a playoff spot. The Pels are about three games behind the 8th seed right now, but the team in front of them, Sacramento, just lost their best player.
