Most Valuable Player award pick…

Gonzalez: Giannis Antetokounmpo – Here is the big one, Literally. Frankly, I think it comes down to two players for this award. Giannis and Kyrie. I have my reasons for both, but since I have Giannis winning right here, I’ll save Kyrie explanation for a later date. MVP is another award that is kinda your situation as well. The Bucks will be bad enough where Giannis can go nuts, but not bad enough where they don’t finish as a top-five seed, which at least I don’t think. The Greek Freak also has gotten better every year, and this year will be no exception.

To think he can’t go up 3PPG, and 2 APG, is unreasonable. What he needs to do to ensure winning the award, is not drop a step on defense. That should separate him from the likes of Kawhi Leonard, Russell Westbrook, Kyrie Irving and James Harden when it gets down to it.

Dunn: Kevin Durant. The Warriors are a good bet to be utterly unstoppable this season, and Durant is the best player on the best team. We saw what he’s capable of in the NBA Finals last season, and he’s certainly not content after winning his first NBA crown. If anything, Durant has been more adversarial than ever with the media and fans, and he’s primed for a season in which he channels all of that angst into his best year to date, which could be a scary thing for the rest of the league. Prepare for gaudy numbers and otherworldly efficiency.

Macri: With news that he’s missing at least the first game, the Kawhi injury story is now officially a thing. Even so, he’s still the chalk pick. Which is fine…he’s deserving of favorite status after years of just being “in the conversation.”KD is my choice. You can never go wrong with the best player on the best team, especially when that team laps the field. The anti-Durant buzz from last year has worn off, and the tide that started with his Finals MVP will only continue to rise. He edges Kawhi and Giannis for the win.
