Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the most interesting teams this NBA season. The 76ers were poised to obviously improve this season with Ben Simmons healthy, Joel Embiid returning and having the number one pick Markelle Fultz.

The 76ers were one of the worst teams in the league last season going 28-54. With additions like J.J. Redick, Ersan Ilyasova, and others along with the combination of the talents of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, the 76ers have improved much more than expected.

Philadelphia currently sits with a record of 50-30, which is good for the 3rd seed in the East. The Sixers just beat the Cavaliers Friday night in a playoff atmosphere-like game which could be what ensures they end up with that 3 seed over Cleveland.

The Sixers are now on a 14 game winning streak with just a couple games left in the season. They could truly be hitting their stride at the best possible time. All this, while Embiid is still out with his injury.

Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have been the driving force behind the 76ers success this season. Everyone expected the Sixers to be good eventually, but I don’t think many people predicted the team being this good this soon.

The Sixers could make a run to the Eastern Conference Finals with how shaky the East has been, and a potential second-round matchup with the Celtics.
