Will the Lakers still not surround LeBron with a veteran star?

For the time being, at least, it seems like the Los Angeles Lakers are going to sit tight and not force t heir way to landing another veteran star to pair with LeBron James. They clearly didn’t want to use all their young assets to land Kawhi Leonard, and must feel awfully good about the possibility of landing a star next summer.

Or, feel really good about their young, emerging core of Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart. Either way, from all indications, it appears that they’re rolling the dice with LeBron, their young guys and a group of misfits heading into the 2018-19 NBA season.

That’s not to say that they can’t make a mid-season deal, but it’s just that they feel, at the very least, somewhat comfortable with the roster that they currently have. Still, that might not be the smartest of decisions. We’ll all find out soon.
