Kelly Oubre Jr., Washington Wizards

I’ve been a big fan of Kelly Oubre Jr. since he was drafted out of Kansas back in the 2015 NBA Draft, and this could be the season that he finally breaks out. Don’t get me wrong, he’s improved every season.

In his best season to date, he averaged 12 points and five rebounds per game last season with the Washington Wizards. And while Washington doesn’t necessarily need him to have a big season in order to be successful – most of that responsibility will fall on John Wall and Bradley Beal – he could help elevate this team’s ceiling by enjoying another career year this season.

There’s plenty to like about Oubre Jr.’s game, but one of the biggest holes in his overall repertoire is his lack of efficiency. And maybe that’s because he doesn’t always get the most minutes, and it’s hard to find your rhythm when you’re only getting five or six shot attempts per game, but that’s one area that come fall into place next for the young wing.
