The Pelicans won’t be sellers, but buyers at the NBA Trade Deadline

Ever since Jimmy Butler demanded a trade at the start of training camp, all the talk has been to who the next NBA star would be to demand a trade. And while most of that talk has pointed to Anthony Davis being that player, it has, predictably, sparked whispers.

But, with the way that the New Orleans Pelicans, have started the season, there should be a pivot in those rumors. Instead of being sellers (in possibly moving AD) at this year’s NBA Trade Deadline, New Orleans should be looking to add to their team.

They have gotten of to a hot start, and possibly adding a shooter or two (for depth) would go a long way in this team maintaining their impressive first week. Forget trading Davis, this team should shoot for the stars this season.
