Boston Celtics: Terry Rozier

For the sake of this article, let’s assume that Kyrie Irving is going to re-sign during the off-season. He said as much at the beginning of the year, and it would be somewhat odd if he went back on that “promise.”

Assuming that Irving is going to be an integral part of this team’s core moving forward, the Boston Celtics should look to move Terry Rozier in the coming weeks. He’s a restricted free agent after the season, and could be in line for a big payday should he hit the open market.

With Irving, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart, the Celtics already have three really strong rotation players in the backcourt. Brad Stevens could stagger the trios minutes in the backcourt and not miss a beat. Plus, moving Rozier could help add another first-round pick or another valued veteran in their pursuit for a championship this season, or prepare them for the impending bidding war this summer for Anthony Davis.
